Adult CanSkate

Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, adapted to adult beginners.

About Adult CanSkate

When you sign up for Adult CanSkate you will be in a program that focuses on participation and basic skill development. Lessons are given in a group format and led by our NCCP certified professional coaches, accompanied by trained volunteer Program Assistants. Coaches make sessions active using a wide variety of activities to promote learning. Adult CanSkate contains the same CanSkate curriculum offered to our younger skaters, but adapted to an environment dedicated to mature learners. Learn how to skate without small skaters underfoot and at a pace better suited to adults.

CanSkate is the feeder program to all other Skate Canada skating programs.

Lesson Days:

At the end of the session skaters will be guided off the ice.
Coaches will not assist with skates or gear. Please practice putting things on and off at home so you can come prepared to get on ice on time!
