About StarSkate 1+2 & Adult Star 1
Welcome to StarSkate! This program offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate, and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a progressive manner that includes specifically designed awards and incentives. This is the first level in which the skaters have the opportunity to take nationally standardized Skate Canada tests and participate in competitions.
At this time, Star 1 skaters may wish to progress to the Skate Canada Competitive Program. Speak to your coach about becoming competitive.
Adult Program: Those 18+ desiring to be placed in a group of mature skaters may register for 'Adult Star 1' to designate this preference. 'Adult Star 1' requires 3 or more registrants to proceed, otherwise those enrolled may be absorbed into All Ages groups. Adults who have completed Star 1 may wish to enroll in Adult Star 2
